Tawa represents the spirit of the sun. In the winter solstice ceremony, which may last up to nine days, the gods return and the sun returns on its way back to summer and the growing season. The rituals bring the sun to its summer home and gives strength to all life. |

This pendant represents the mask of the Tawa Kachina. It is created in earthenware clay, hand painted and glazed and kiln fired to produce a strong and beautiful necklace. He is a bright and colorful bit of the Southwest and would be a handsome addition to your wardrobe. Or he could be an unusual gift for a friend. It measures approximately 1-1/2 inches in diameter overall. A black rolled leather necklace which is adjustable to your desired length is included.
