Kona is a racer or runner Kachina. He carries a yucca leaf whip and whips his fellow runner when he wins the race. The racing Kachinas foretell of water racing down the arroyos in the coming growing season. In addition, he gives prizes of yellow and red piki bread. |

This pendant represents the mask of the Kona Kachina. It is created in earthenware clay, hand painted and glazed and kiln fired to produce a strong and beautiful necklace. He is a bright and colorful bit of the Southwest and would be a handsome addition to your wardrobe. Or he could be an unusual gift for a friend. It measures approximately 1 inch by 1.5 inches overall. A black rolled leather necklace which is adjustable to your desired length is included.
