Kahaila is of the Second Mesa. It is believed that the Turtle Dance was given first at Shipaulovi as a line dance sometime in the late 1800's. Kahaila is still seen most frequently as a line dancer in Shipaulovi. His songs are most pleasant. |

This pendant represents the mask of the Kahaila Kachina. It is created in earthenware clay, hand painted and glazed and kiln fired to produce a strong and beautiful necklace. He is a bright and colorful bit of the Southwest and would be a handsome addition to your wardrobe. Or he could be an unusual gift for a friend. It measures approximately 1-3/4 inches by 1-1/4 inches overall. A black rolled leather necklace which is adjustable to your desired length is included. It comes packaged with a card describing the Kahaila Kachina and a note about Kachinas, all in a plastic bag.
